Anyone else notice how the top four teams in the BCS effectively got byes for the first week?

#1 Georgia v. TN-Martin (who??)
#2 Michigan v. East Carolina (ECU is my alma mater)
#3 Ohio State v. Indiana
#4 Alabama v. Middle Tennessee
Three of the four teams (Georgia, Michigan, and Alabama) played at home. And, not surprisingly, all four ranked teams destroyed their opponents.

Can't have those likely CFP teams losing too early in the season, now, can we?

Back in the BCS days it was advantageous to play tough opponents early
..as an early loss wasn't punished as much. Now with the playoffs it's better for teams to effectively have a preseason game.

My FSU Seminoles took it to a a supposed ranked LSU team.
