At some point -- possibly a year to the day after the BR non-moderated site was shut down -- I may write a bowling column about the demise of that forum, plus the pba.com and bowl.com forums.

And in that regard, I still have complete printed transcripts of many controversial threads in each of those now-defunct forums. I'm sure I can write an interesting column regarding those forums and the reason why they no longer exist.

I think you should let it go, especially with almost everyone here already knowing the reason that particular forum on BR no longer exists. In fact, I am happy it no longer exists or else we might not have this particular forum we are enjoying here of which I am enjoying more than the one BR had and I am willing to bet that there are some other former BR members that are enjoying this forum also.

The others are still welcome to join us if they desire but I think their pride gets in the way. If they do happen to stop in I would suggest we treat them all as if nothing happened. I'd love to see the entire gang back and poking each other. Only this time there would be no space to get out of hand. They're all welcome as far as I'm concerned.

With all due respect, I would agree with Brickguy. I don't think it would be wise to resurrect the problems that caused the demise of those various forums again. I think there's more than a few of us who were not happy with how things went downhill and don't care to revisit that dark place in our history.

As far as welcoming them back, I'm all for it and would gladly forgive, forget and welcome them back.

I know what ya meant. You should have seen the epic battles over there just before it was shut down. I can honestly say that that will never happen here, regardless of who shows up. Disagreements and arguments are fine, even welcomed. But there will be no huge battles.
