I like Desantis, I really do. I favored him over Trump.
The problem with this is that this moves Florida, IMHO, into nanny state category. Kinda reminds me that many counties here in Alabama were dry for a long time. Strippers had to wear pasties..etc.
Some of the talk on X is very weird on this issue too. People who are pushing back and stating that 18 "is adult age" are getting "oh, you must be a pedo" from the supporters of this bill. That really makes no sense since 18 is a legal adult in most jurisdictions.
At some point we have to draw a line as to what an adult is. Serve at 18 but can't strip now? Take 100's of thousands of dollars in student debt at 18 but can't strip? I've been fairly consistent that these types of laws are horribly inconsistent across state and federal jurisdiction.
I might be more sold at "19" as that is the technical adult age in Alabama since that would force young girls a year after high school before they would decide to go into that business.
