And this has already begun. Democrats not even in office yet and the 1A is being destroyed.Biden associates elected officials as Nazis.
Twitter purges.
Facebook purges.
Apple banning parler app download
Far greater than the capitol riot is the supression of free speech. Eventually the 2a.
Unity and healing abound!
... and as you imply, YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHIN' YET!And this has already begun. Democrats not even in office yet and the 1A is being destroyed.
As long as they realize there will be a revolution. This was going into happen eventually. This way at least it's obvious and not a a slow assimilation.
One would think so, but that hasn't been the case in the last decade. Suddenly we're being forced to include queers where they're not wanted, men in the ladies' rooms, being sued for using the wrong gender pronouns, etc. I'm actually in favor of "private business, selective service". But it's not that way anymore and the problem with that is they use it to their advantage and only when they decide to allow it. Someone is forced to bake a queer cake, but conservatives are banned from social media. All of those social media companies are privately owned. They can do as they wish. Has zero to do with freedom of speech. You don't like Twitter, don't Tweet
As a libertarian, I agree completely. But then you have to treat it like any other publisher. All of those social media companies are privately owned. They can do as they wish. Has zero to do with freedom of speech. You don't like Twitter, don't Tweet
They keep up with the censorship it's gonna crash. I've been reprimanded for posting video proof of certain topics and their "fact checkers" have either removed or posted a warning on the post. It's not going to end well for them. I believe that a private enterprise should be able to pick and choose their services and members. But I believe those decisions should be for everyone.I'm guessing there are other forms of social media that allow whatever people wish to say. Why not just use them? I hold stock in Facebook. Bought in at 41 a share. It's down some now, but still around 260 to 270 a share. I might sell half, take my hefty profits, and see how this plays out.
Parler and MeWe are advertising that they are 1A friendly. I've visited but not played with them. Are there social media outlets that allow you to post whatever you wish? I'm asking, because I don't know. I only use Facebook.
Absolutely. Charlie Thoune, my long time radio buddy. We chew the fat on freq. 27.195 mhz every Saturday night. Hard core democrat all his life until I showed him both sides of what is happening in the country. This was about 5 years ago, now, and he has seen the light. He WAS very uninformed, tho. He is an avid hunter, concealed weapon carrier, thinks everyone should work for what they want and believes a person should be able to say and do as they please within reason.I don't get into a lot of political debates, because I know the outcome. Can you name one single person that you've changed their mind, or the way they vote? If the answer is "no", you're only talking to yourself. It's not really worth it to me to waste time typing my beliefs on social media. Everyone is entitled to believe the way they wish, and even if I don't agree, I respect you.
Parler. But apple is now denying dl of the app.Are there social media outlets that allow you to post whatever you wish? I'm asking, because I don't know. I only use Facebook.
It's not about changing minds, it's about understanding. That can't happen without thoughtful conversation.I don't get into a lot of political debates, because I know the outcome. I hear ya. I WAS a hard core democrat that bordered socialist back in the day. I even sided with communal living at one point, and even tried it for a spell. LBJ kinda had me thinking a bit, but I didn't truly begin to really follow until the Carter years. Then I studied, then I got it. Everything became clear. It's not about changing minds, it's about understanding. That can't happen without thoughtful conversation.
My mind has changed alot over the last 20 years about certain political topics. Age, experience, and discussion all play into it.
