44 years ago today Nixon stood before Congress for his State of the Union and demanded that the Watergate investigation come to an end.

"The time has come to bring that investigation and other investigations related to that matter to an end. One year of Watergate is enough!"

Nixon at SOTU: 1. Refers to 'so called' Watergate Investigation. 2. States his full compliance with investigators requests for information and documents. 3. Demands Investigation end. 'One year is enough!' 4. *Loud applause*

There's a big difference between the investigations regarding Nixon and Trump. With regard to Watergate, there was AN ACTUAL CRIME being investigated, but with regard to Trump, the foundation of the investigation ISN'T BASED ON A CRIME (because even IF there WAS a Russia-Trump "collusion" -- which isn't apparently the case -- such "collusion" WOULD NOT BE A CRIME).
