The U.P. sky wed night

I've only seen the Northern Lights one time, and that was when I was living in northern Illinois at about age 5 (circa 1946).

Greg turn on your shortwave set and listen to the funky noises emanating from the aurora borealis. Start around 30 MHz SSB and spin the dial lowering the frequency. Occasionally you can receive some backscatter transmissions that are normally out of your skip zone. Those beautiful colors are breathtaking!

I've heard some strange patterns. Thete were a few that sounded intensional, steady and repeating. Damn interesting!
