Election thoughts...why the R will likely lose.

So, as we move closer to primaries, I don't hear many pundits talking about what I've been thinking outside of some side discussion Megyn Kelly was having a few days ago in her post debate show.

We know the Trump is the front runner. He will win the primary. But that isn't the problem. There will be state(s) who will find a way to not allow him to be in the general election. I don't care how many other states file lawsuits, it's going to happen and the courts will not work fast enough to solve this problem. The RNC knows this. What do the people do? What does the RNC do? What does Trump do? Who wins?

What the people do: It's possible, especially in a southern swing state like GA, that there could be protesting if Trump isn't on the ticket. It might even be worse if no R is on the ticket. Will people show up to write in Trump? Maybe enough people file lawsuits against Georgia ( this actually might be the best pressure for a state not to deny Trump on the general ticket )

If Trump is pulled off the general ticket, the RNC could decide not to nominate him. The question is, will Trump voters, out of malice, decide not to show up? While I think this is the silliest shit I've seen by Trump supporters, I guess they'd rather have Biden over Desantis/Haley/Vivek out of spite. The RNC could ask Trump to step down, but I doubt it.

For Trump, he could step down if he either gets convicted or if a state, especially a swing state, takes him off the ballot. I doubt he would do that but if he did and endorsed a different candidate that candidate would likely be Biden/Newsom

So there it is. I think if Trump runs he loses, not because of the polls, but simply because states will find a way to take him off the ballot. If any other candidate gets nominated by the RNC, I don't see them winning UNLESS Trump endorses that candidate.

I also think that if Newsome slides in, the election does get tougher for the Rs all the way around. My own thoughts on this are: Newsome will be the defacto nominee, all the while the Ds will be trying to take Trump off ballots in the sake of "saving democracy" while at the same time not even having a democratic process for their own candidate. Hypocrisy abounds.....but they will put Newsome in without a primary. It will alienate some Ds but I think most Ds would rather have him than Biden.

Michigan already has the wheels turning. A bill has been submitted to keep Trump off the ballot. I cannot see how this shit is even legal. Boggles the mind.

Dear Greg T:

Didn't a judge rule (a couple days ago) that Trump will remain on the Michigan ballot?

Yeah, they ruled he would remain on the primary. A bill has been submitted to disqualify him from the general election.
Dear Greg T:

Do you really believe -- despite the shenanigans that often take place in Michigan -- that Trump could actually be kept off the presidential elect5ion ballot?

I would put NOTHING past our state government. NOTHING. They're trying to shut down Line 5 which is the only source for fuel in the U.P. If the shut down is successful, we'll have to get our oil, natural gas, diesel, etc from trucks crossing the bridge. The ignorant cunt thinks that a pipeline is dangerous to our waters? Wait til she sees how many tanker accidents there will be with thousands of trucks crossing the bridge. Oh, but then we could always use ships. They're perfectly safe. Yes, I do believe it's possible to keep Trump off the ballot.
