The logic here from these leftist is that if people don't like what someone else says and they are easily offended, they'll speak less (or leave Twitter). The inevitable result would be that Twitter would become a leftist echo chamber.
I used to say 20 years ago on the old bowling forum that the intolerance of the intolerant will destroy the left. Twitter turned into the same thing. In a free society bad ideas are rooted out through debate in public. The Left would rather shut speach down through authority and oppression.
I find it hilarious that they thought Trump and the Republican party were the Nazis when, at any chance they had power, would shut down anything they disagreed with.
