This happens here already, depending on the value of the farm.
The same people where I live who complain of generational wealth also complain when big subdivisions build where farms used to be and don't understand why the farmers or the kids don't continue to run the farms. Why would the children of farmers continue the business of they are saddled with taxes?
What they really want: the government to own the land own the farming.
