Idiots

I realized again today that I thought idiots were mainly anonymous keyboard trolls when I've got idiots in my neighborhood who moved in a week ago and they think they have all the answers posting to our neighborhood Facebook page.

Yeah, don't you love it? I've had a few different new neighbors in the last 5 years and the ones I have now are real fucking peaches. I won't tell the entire story because it would take all night, but the new ones, being there about two years now, are the laziest, most entitled bastards on earth. PLUS, they seriously had the idea that they had the right to take down my Trump flag, and my 2A flag because they didn't like them. Caught them both on my porch removing the flags. I walked out and confronted them, told them to put the flags back and get the fuck out. The guy, big SOB, walked up to me and told me I had no right to offend them. I told him if he didn't put the flags back I had the right to aerate them. He threatened to choke me with the flag so I pulled my Glock and made sure he was staring right down the barrel. I told him that one threat is all I needed. After turning white, they promptly replaced the flags and walked down the steps. Now and then they watch TV outside in their screen house. At midnight I yell out the window that I'm going to bed. The TV goes off immediately. I've had my fill of these bold, entitled bastards. And the older I get the less tolerance I have.

Jeez. Nothing quite like that here. I live in the south in an open carry state so people aren't that bold.

I live in an HOA community, which has its pros and cons. Part of it is we have a pool where it seems people outside of the community get in. We are NOT a gated community. We have new neighbors who think it would be so easy and cheap to do so and make our community gated. Like no one in this neighborhood(20 years old now) hasn't thought about making the community gated.

Shit we can't even get speed bumps in the neighborhood because the county says they slow down emergency services.

There are exactly 3 gated communities in our county of 600k people. These communities have HOA fees in the hundreds of dollars per month. The average home price in these communities is 750k. These new neighbors think that our neighborhood with an average home price of 300k should also be a gated community. They don't understand that we would owe the county millions of dollars AND we would have to maintain infrastructure within the community because we'd go from a public community to a private one.

Even after explaining all this to these neighbors on Facebook they simply believe it would just cost the HOA a few thousand for a couple of gates and just say "Nuh uh your wrong".

I mean, I expect uneducated "because I feel this way it must be so" from anonymous Twitter trolls, but not in my own neighborhood.
