Neighbor wants some new clubs. He's in his early to mid 70's I think, and plays a hanful od times per year. He's currently using some 20 or 30 year old Ping's. His golf bag is dry-rotting apart around the clubs (handle ripped off in his hand last weekend taking the bag off the cart).
The few times we've been out, he's shot around 100-105 for 18 holes on what I'd call a easy to slightly moderate course. Don't know the rating off hand.
What is a good, low end set to recommend? He's looking under $500, probably closer to $300. Oh, and he thinks he'd like to add some hybrids in the mix to replace the long irons.
