Consider it a triple feature: Lucky observers who look to the sky Friday night into early Saturday will be treated to a February "snow" moon as well as a lunar eclipse and the flyby of a comet, reports USA Today. As the February full moon crosses through the outer edge of Earth's shadow, some of the sun's rays will be blocked, making the moon appear darker in a "penumbral" lunar eclipse. Then around 3am Saturday, Comet 45P will appear as a blue-green light in the constellation Hercules as it makes its closest approach to Earth this century, reports Universe Today, which has tips on how best to watch the action.
