Never heard of this guy, but he's right. I don't know the Hulk, but I know my own experiences. I've been fortunate to have had some very patient frinds from other races that did not over-react when I said something dumb. My ignorant remarks were met with frowns (the equivalent if a facepalm without raising a hand) and questions, such as "Why would you think that? How do you think that makes me feel to hear my friend say that?"
I am grateful for their patience, and a better person for it. Being from a small, rural town my exposure to non-whites was basically nil. Everything I knew about other races was learned on TV, from "Truly Tasteless Jokes" books (great source of information there, lol), and the passing down of opinions from other white people, many of whom may never have left the county they grew up in (yes, county, not country. Some I think never left the city limits).
Like most (I assume), I do not consider myself a racist. I don't wish harm to anyone. Well, anyone that hasn't pissed me off! I understand most everyone (with the exception of extremists) just want to be left alone and given a fair opportunity to have a safe, fun, successful, satisfying life. But I still catch myself thinking or saying something stupid now and then. I recognize it, and try to do better going forward.
Anyway, here's the link.
