This news really upsets Nelson Cruz. In his last 3 at-bats against the KBer, Cruz was 3 for 3 with 3 home runs.

I remember watching him when he was in the minors. He came to OKC and when he first started pitching I couldn't understand why it looked like he was throwing 50 mph. Then I realized he was throwing the knucklers.

If Wakefield had these stats (Career: 318-274 (16th), 3.35 ERA, 3342 SO (11th), P, HOF in 1997, 5xAllStar, 5xGG, Braves/Yankees/... 1964-1987) instead of these stats (Career: 200-180, 4.41 ERA, 2156 SO (56th), P, AllStar, RedSox/Pirates 1992-2011) then maybe he he would be a Hall of Famer like the greatest knuckle ball pitcher of all times Phil Niekro, who had the first set of stats.

I will never forget the game I seen Phil Niekro pitch with the Braves years ago when he had a 5 strike out inning.
