Actually, it just the small mindedness of all politicians. Pelosi made some mildly inflammatory statements and some Republicans said "well just for that I'm going to take my ball and go home". There is enough blame to go around, and neither McCain or Obama seem capable of leading the cluster of idiots in Congress.
